I grew up in the beautiful hill-top village of Bandipur (you should see it!). At the age of 16 I became a porter but because my English is good, I quickly became Assistant Guide and then Lead Guide. I have worked for many years as a Lead Guide both with Intrepid Travel and Himalayan Encounters before I decided to become independent guide.
Over the years I have learnt so much about the mountains, first-aid, nature, local culture, weather, food, hygiene and client handling. Some of it is knowledge I learnt growing up in the Himalayas. Some I gained on government training courses and some I have learnt when being a guide. I also love to learn about life in the west from my client friends too! Meeting new people and making new friends from all over the world is a great joy for me.
Safety is my first priority. I have advanced first aid training whilst working with Intrepid Travel and I received more training from Red Cross. It is my job as a mountain guide to keep you safe and very well, so that you can relax and have incredible, fun, memorable time.
I would be happy to lead you if you are a group, a couple or a solo traveller. Whether you have 2 days or 3 weeks. And I have lead many amazing treks including Annapurna Circuit (AC), Annapurna Sanctuary (ABC), Mardi Himal, Manaslu & Tsum Valley, Ghorepani Circuit, Langtang, Sikles, Lower Mustang & Upper Mustang.
If you decide to go with me, together we can tailor your trip to suit your wishes in advance. And I can adapt to your needs and abilities as we go trekking. I can arrange permits, porters, transportation, accommodation, food and I can help you with equipment before we leave in Pokhara.
Finally, I have the experience but still every new trip into the mountains amaze me. I want to share my country with you. Even a Nepali person like me, never get tired of the Himalaya!
